This park is in a prime location although the beach is really just stones. The managers are poor but friendly, washrooms are not cleaned on a regular basis and have gone a week now without being done. One staff member stands around drinking coffee most of the morning! It needs a complete overhaul but I suspect the owners are just hanging on and will sell eventually to developers (huge condo complex next door that used to be a campsite). I would not stay here again as the price is way too high for what you get.

A great campsite but the beach access can be difficult for older people. It is a very steep and bumpy drive to the day area and beach access. Very windy on the beach which made it very unpleasant. The campsite itself was great, very spacious although not too private. Rangers very visible but the "Hosts" were very unfriendly and mostly unavailable. It seems to me they don't do much but sell firewood. We saw volunteers cleaning sites etc.

This is a lovely campground for a stop over or for visiting surrounding area. The showers could do to be updated but they were clean and there was plenty of hot water. We really enjoyed our one night stay here.

A lovely campground with super washrooms but the beach is very difficult to get to. Day area has steps to the beach which was very very windy. We would not stay here again.

This is a difficult one to review. When we arrived the owner was less than friendly even though we had reserved months ahead. We had a nice big sight but lacking sun which we asked for. T.V. was fuzzy and there were only 2 channels. When we asked about it they said they would look at it but never did. Laundry was a wash out! Dryer did not dry my clothes so we got the money back. They had ice cream socials, not that anyone was very sociable believe me! And what about this train that is all over their web site? It is a broken down heap of junk that isn't used any more. Thank goodness we didn't have our grandson with us! We would not return here.

Sites are very shaded, cool and always damp even if there is no rain. It is very close to the ocean, about a 5 minute walk and wheel chair accessible. It is a great beach for exploring after the tide has gone out. Dogs are allowed on the beach on leash, watch out the rangers will ticket if you have your dog off leash!

Sunset Bay is amazing but we were disappointed with the actual campsite. On the first night there a group of rowdies arrived and kept us awake. The host just across the road seemed oblivious! Does anyone know what these Hosts do? All they did when we were there was sell firewood and they were not very friendly, and wouldn't even make eye contact. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk under the highway, safe yes, but sometimes flooded! The beach is awesome with tide pools to explore and you can take your dog (on leash) on the beach. Ranger will ticket you if the dog is not on leash as some guy found out! The Rangers need to be more active with trouble makers.

We took the advice of a fellow reviewer and reserved G29. It is a lovely big and private site with lots of room to spread out. The lake was very high but we managed to get a couple of chairs near the water and sit with the dog (a Jack Russell) so she could swim and play. Then some jerk in a boat came and tied it up to a tree completely blocking the beach area for anyone else. The campsite is beautiful and we didn't miss the hook ups. It was nice to have the option to eat out just a 5 minute walk away (pizza etc). The nights were spectacular with the moon and the stars shining through the window in the roof of our trailer. Bike trails are excellent and the flowers and hummingbirds just amazing. It is well worth a visit. Crater Lake was o.k. but we are from Canada and after Lake Louise/Banff we are rather spoiled.

Cool reception upon arrival by owners. Laundry in poor condition and what ever happened to the train they rave about. We saw it dumped and broken in the barn. Sites are very shady and in late August we had requested a sunny site, didn't get it though. The TV had only 2 channels and when we asked about it the owner said he would check into it, he never did. We were here 3 nights. Would not stay here again. Their ice cream socials are less than social! Drive to everything from here.

Very tight spots. Seems if you know the owner you can do anything you want. Manager is useless, not managing the staff or enforcing the rules. Several campers have left early. Don't bother coming here if you want peace and quiet! Very expensive for what you get.

I agree with the previous writer. Barking dogs, lose dogs, noisy neighbours within 4 feet of our table. Talk about sardines! Manager doesn't seem to care and the staff ride around all day in their golf carts doing nothing. We won't be back. At $48 a night we expect to be able to at least sleep!!! wi-fi is unpredictable.

If they would clean the bathrooms this campsite would have been rated higher. Fortunately we didn't have to use them. They did have a laundry room. The train goes by a couple of times a day and also during the night so if you don't like trains this is not the place for you. The site is only accessible from Hwy 97 and a very dangerous intersection. RV dealer is across the 97 but you take your life in your hands trying to cross. Some permanent trailers on site but most of them are maintained and the residents were quiet.

I wouldn't rave about this park. It is very expensive and the sites are so close together we had problems getting our 21 ft trailer into a spot. We couldn't get the awning all the way out as it would have touched the high cedars between sites. Staff were not overly friendly or helpful and one particular person was very rude. I think it is over rated for what they have to offer. We had no room to put a couple of chairs out and having a bbq means smoking out your neighbours! Everything was in good condition and we did enjoy the hot tub. Good laundry facilities.

This is an excellent family campground. It is less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach and Hot Springs. The sites are very nice, the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. They have a resident pair of peacocks and ducks. We stayed here for 12 days.

We reserved a site here and had just pulled in when a jeep raced by with a Pitbull in the back. The owner said they were in a tent and had come to some arrangement where the dog would be tied up at all times. We immediately pulled out. Please check their pet policy before staying here. We are now asking if they allow Pitbulls before we reserve or pull in to any campsite. Had a bad experience at one site so we are very aware of what these dogs can do. We would not stay here. The sites are also very tight and we had trouble getting our 21 ft trailer backed in. Sites are mostly shaded.

Very nice park right on the Okanagan Lake. Friendly staff and management. Walk to bank, grocery store, dollar store, and pub. Library has free internet access for checking your email or there is WiFi on site. Good fishing (trout). Sites are gravel and grass and nicely maintained. We liked it so much we have booked for a month in August/September.

I dont know why everyone is giving this park such high scores. It is basically a gravel parking lot with a few small trees in it. We stayed here for a few days and you couldn't use the bathroom in the mornings because they took so long to clean them! Yes, they are spotless, but that is because they are hardly used and cleaned to perfection every day. The staff were not friendly, you couldn't sit outside your trailer because anyone coming in would cover you in dust and there were no garbage bins on site just one dumpster at the exit. In the dog walk the bins were overflowing and smelly. I couldn't wait to leave this place and would not return.

I would give this park a 0, be sure to ask about their dog rules. When we were there they had Pit Bulls on the site and these dogs attacked a black lab and bit it's owner and the lab's owner. We left immediately and for this reason we would not camp there again.
